How grades work
Grades come from player reviews on Steam, not from our opinion. The same rules apply to every game, automatically.
- Gold
Players love it. Claim it and play it.
- Silver
Well liked. Worth grabbing for your library.
- Bronze
Players are mixed. Free, but keep expectations low.
- Not graded
Too few player reviews to grade yet.
- Loot
In-game extras, DLC or a beta key, not a full game.
The rules
Gold needs a confidence score of 80% or more and at least 500 Steam reviews.
Silver needs a confidence score of 65% or more and at least 100 reviews.
Bronze is every other game with at least 50 reviews.
What's a confidence score?
A game with 100% positive reviews from 6 players is less certain than one with 94% from 40,000. The confidence score is the lowest positive rate a game could realistically have, given how many people reviewed it. Small samples get pulled down, big ones stay close to their real rate. Statisticians call it the Wilson lower bound.
Why some games aren't graded
Not graded means the game has fewer than 50 Steam reviews, or we couldn't match it to its Steam page with certainty. We'd rather show no grade than a wrong one.
Loot covers DLC, in-game items and beta keys. Their value depends on whether you play the game they belong to.
Keeping it fair
Nobody pays for a grade. Review data refreshes every 30 days. Spot a grade that looks wrong? Email contact@onlinegamesgold.com and we'll check it by hand.
